Hell Of A Ride So Far

Well I've been having fun recently. I had a bright idea a few days ago and went into a coding frenzy and produced my latest masterpiece. A website that allows you to add captions onto images.

So I wrote the code (and getting text within images to word-wrap was no fun at all) and put the site up. Then I loaded a few images of Right-Wing Nut-Job Sarah Palin and let the games begin.

It surprising how quickly this stuff gets around. Within a few hours the hits starting racking up and people were posting all sorts of shit. Some were hilarious, some were really,really wrong (I deleted the worst) and a lot were just rubbish. A lot of the drooling brigade just posted things up like "Nigga!" and "I suck cock for money". Hardly the hight of wit.

So I added a few more images for people to caption and went and had a think.

I'll have to redesign the site a bit. On the home page I'll make a gallery that'll contain the best of all of the other pages. That'll stop people having to wade through piles of crud to get to the nuggets.

I'll keep on adding images for a couple of weeks and then I'm going to run it a a Caption Of The Week site. Which means I'll have to come up with some sort of voting mechanism. Ah well. It'll keep me out of trouble.
